Belle's First Solo

Belle participated in a talent show and here is a short video clip of her singing "Over the Rainbow" which is one of her favorite songs ; ) She wore her Dorothy dress from Wizard of Oz and a pair of red ruby slippers! She did a wonderful job...I was soooo proud of her! Belle was not nervous at all. Enjoy!

Belle decided to roll around in the grass one beautiful afternoon. She looks so content and happy in these pics. She loves being outside "to smell the flowers and sit in the sunshine".

Eggs for Everyone!!!

Our families got together at my mom's house for Easter this year. We had the annual egg hunt for the kiddies. Belle and Aaliyah had a blast finding all the eggs. They found over 60 eggs and loved every minute of it. I included a pic of my bro Gavin. He helped the kids eat the candy inside the eggs : )

Happy Birthday Belle!!!

The birthday girl is 3 today! It is an honor to be her mommy : )

2008

I wish everyone a happy and prosperous new year filled with happiness!

Belle woke up Christmas morning and said "Mommy, Santa was here!" Her face was so precious and she was filled with so much excitement. We celebrated Christmas at my Mom's house. Nina and Belle's cousin Aaliyah were there too. Belle and Aaliyah had tons of fun. My Mom and Dad made the day very special for the girls. I cooked successfully cooked Christmas dinner for everyone without burning down my Mom's kitchen : ) It was so nice having the whole family together.

Visit with Santa

Santa was at the firehouse station where Belle's Uncle Gavin volunteers. Belle hugged Santa and sat on his lap for a long time. She told Santa she wants to be a princess. She also wanted candycanes for Christmas. Santa asked Belle if she is a good girl and if she helps her Mommy. Of course Belle replied "Yes, I'm a good girl. I help my Mommy." After we left, Belle said to me "Mommy, I am so happy." She got a goody bag and a candy cane from Santa. Belle and her cousin Aaliyah also got to sit in the fire truck.

Hanging Out in a Tree

While I am busy raking leaves, Belle is hanging out in a tree. She said "Mommy, I did it!" "Mommy, can you take a picture?"

October 2007

Belle was having fun outside with Grandma Dobyns new puppy. Belle and the puppy "Greta" chase each other around all the time :)

Be My Valentine

I helped Belle make Valentine sugar cookies. They were heart-shaped and Belle decorated them herself using sprinkles and candy hearts. The cookies were very tastey!

Snow, Snow and More Snow!

We got about 4 inches of snow and what seemed like 2 or 3 inches of ice on top of the snow. I took Belle out to make a snowman, which was difficult because of the ice.

Christmas 2006

We spent Christmas Eve at my Mom's house. Belle had a lot of fun opening all of her gifts from Grandma and Grandpa Dobyns. My sister gave Belle hairclips and headbands and Elmo. My Dad gave Belle a babydoll. It was nice to have everyone together for the holidays.

I'm Two!!!

Belle turned 2 on January 8th. I can't believe she is two already. She has grown up so much over the past few months. She had a strawberries-n-cream cake and she loved every bite of it! She actually had two birthday parties...one at Grandma Dobyn's house and another party at the Ports. She goes crazy over birthday balloons, so I made sure that she had balloons for her birthday. I will be posting more pics from her party soon.

Our Gingerbread House

Belle and I made a gingerbread house today. As soon as I started applying the icing to the house, Belle got right in there and dipped her finger in and started eating it. She had fun eating the candy too :)

Tiny Dancer

While Belle "helped" decorate the Christmas tree, she wanted to wear her tutu skirt and dancing leotard with her ballet shoes. She was dancing around the tree. She LOVES to dance! I took her to see the Nutcracker Ballet last week and she watched the ballet dancers for 2 hours. Oh...and she has a candy cane in her mouth :)
